We are thrilled to announce that one of our school governors, Mr Ken Morcombe, has been awarded an MBE for his services to Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Mr Morcombe has been a governor at St Giles for 12 years and during that time he has supported and challenged the school to ensure that the provision has continued to be excellent and that all our very complex children make good and outstanding progress. Mr Morcombe is more than just a governor, he is a real friend of the school – fundraising for us though his walking group, helping out at our residential trips and supporting extracurricular events. Congratulations from all the staff, pupils, parents and carers.
