On Friday 29th March Secondary hosted a WOW event for family and friends. The morning started with a Special Assembly to celebrate the wonderful work the students have been doing throughout the term linked to the topic “The World of Work”. We watched a video of the Hawking and Christy class dances they created in PE and then had the pleasure of listening to Abdul and friends singing a song he had written about bullying. Finally, we all joined in with the song “9 to 5” using movement, our  voices and musical instruments. The Governors then received a special cheque presentation for our school.

Next, family and friends went to Christy Class Café where they could enjoy coffee, cake and a chat. It was lovely to see so many parents attend and be able to chat in an informal way. The final part of the WOW was for our visitors to attend class activities with their children and get a general insight into life at St Giles. The feedback from the morning has been excellent and many parents have a requested another similar event. A huge thank you must go to all the families and friends who attended to make the WOW very special.
