Dear Parents and Carers,
St Giles School is now closed for the summer holidays. Work will be taking place over the summer to prepare the site for the return of all learners and staff in September and to prepare for the modular build for the two new reception and nursery classes. We will continue to work closely with Croydon Council and Health to ensure a safe return for all learners and staff in September.
If you urgently need support for your child over the summer, please contact your child’s named social worker, if you have one. If you do not have a named social worker, you can contact the duty number for the Children with Disabilities Team on 0208 7266400 or call Jeni Wilson, manager of the Children with Disabilities Team on 0208 72661974. Jeni’s email address is Jeni.Wilson@croydon.gov.uk. Our school nurses can also be contacted if you have any concerns. If you would like to talk to someone from St Giles, you can email the school at email@example.com or call the school, but please note that calls and emails may not be checked on a daily basis.
This summer, we are sad to say goodbye to Purple class teacher Isha and Pink class teacher Lisa . We wish them well in their new schools and look forward to welcoming Marta, Hannah, Nicole and Tamsin as new teachers at St Giles. We are also saying farewell to teaching assistants, Kim (Yellow Class), Hannah (Yellow Class), Carol (Hawking Class) and Janine (Keller Class & Swims). Raffaella (Orange Class) and Linda (Green Class) are joining the School Nursing Team as Health Care Assistants. We look forward to welcoming Meena, Elizabeth and Alice and our colleagues from Rainbow Nursery to the St Giles Team next term.
Our first day back at school will be Monday 7th September. Closer to that date, we will be in touch to give you further details about our plans for reopening.
Finally, I would like to thank you all for the incredible support that you have shown to St Giles over the last five months and wish you and your families all the best.
