Volunteers and Work Experience

Volunteers at St Giles

At St. Giles we welcome both volunteers and work experience students throughout the year.

We have a group of volunteers supporting pupils who need additional help with reading, and also have volunteers working alongside pupils and staff in the classroom.

We have a number of work experience students working across the school in the education department, including Primary, Secondary and PMLD.  Unfortunately, the medical and therapy departments are unable to accept work experience students.

All volunteers and work experience students over 16 will require an DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check to ensure that they are safe to work with children and young people.

If you are interested in volunteering or participating in work experience at the school, please email Joni Campbell in the school office (Email:  jcampbell15.306@lgflmail.org) explaining what you are interested in doing and the dates you are available, and attach a copy of your CV.  We will then let you know whether it is possible to accommodate you and invite you to visit the school for a tour and discussion.
